My thoughts..
Rating:
Apparently, I’m on a 5-star streak and it’s making me question my judgment just a little. Can every book really be that good? But The Crimson Moth completely deserves the praise. It hooked me from the very beginning, and I ended up devouring it in just a couple of days because I genuinely couldn’t stop reading.
This book blends mystery, romance, and magic in a way that just works. The setting is a fantasy world with witches, secret identities, rebellion, and hidden agendas, but it’s also a very character-driven story. And that’s probably what I loved most about it. The main characters felt so real. Their choices, reactions, and emotional arcs were all believable and made me care deeply about what happened to them.
And the twists! I thought I had things figured out more than once, but nope. Kristen Ciccarelli kept me guessing in the best way. Every time I thought we were heading in one direction, she threw in a turn that made the story even more interesting.

Without giving anything away, I’ll just say: this book delivers on both plot and emotion. If you like your fantasy with strong romantic tension, morally grey choices, and a touch of rebellion—you’re going to love this.
Also: I’m so glad I allready had book two waiting on my shelf. Because once I turned that last page, there was no way I was ready to leave this world behind.
Note, this book has a different title in some countries – so if you are confused – this is the same as “Heartless Hunter“.
