Rating:
As with all of Rachel’s books, the story flows effortlessly from the very beginning and pulled me straight in. I especially loved how the plot unfolded, not through info dumps, but revealed piece by piece in a beautiful ‘show, don’t tell’ way. I never quite knew where it was heading, and even right up until the end I was still surprised.
The pacing, the flow, the character interactions, it all draws you in so completely that you don’t even realize how much time has passed (I somehow finished 15 hours of audiobook in less than a week, and I’m still not sure how I found the time!).
It’s one of those books that leaves you both satisfied and desperate for more. 💀 Now I just have to wait until book two is released! 🫠
