My thoughts…

Rating:

This was such a fun read (or listen 🎧). It was light, cozy, and suspenseful (if you can call multiple murders cozy or light). It wasn’t groundbreaking, but it kept me hooked, and I listened to it in just a couple of days. Which is always a good sign!

The story follows Nia, who returns to her hometown after discovering her boyfriend for the last few years is actually married. She’s hoping for some peace and quiet, but instead the small town is shaken by a murder. Determined to uncover the truth, Nia starts investigating, much to the annoyance of her ex-childhood-boyfriend, who’s now the local police officer. Let’s just say sparks fly in more ways than one.

If you’re in the mood for an easy, entertaining mystery with small-town charm, a dash of romance, and plenty of intrigue, this is a great pick.
