My thoughts…
Rating:
This one started off strong. I really liked the main character and her voice right from the beginning. The setting was charming, the vibes were cozy, and it had all the ingredients for a perfect light read. I’m always here for modern witches and a touch of everyday magic, and this definitely delivered on that front.
That said, while the book was cute and easy to get into, it was also very predictable. I kept waiting for a twist, a surprise, or at least a real challenge for the characters to overcome, but things stayed pretty smooth all the way through. There wasn’t much tension or drama, which made it feel a bit too safe for me. I wanted to care more about what would happen next, but the stakes just never felt very high.
Still, this is a perfect cozy comfort read if you’re in the mood for something light and low-stress. It’s sweet, it’s magical, and it’s ideal for those days when you just want to curl up with a book that feels like a warm hug, without emotional turmoil.
So while it wasn’t a standout for me personally, I’d still recommend it to readers looking for an easy, feel-good escape.
