Get to Know the Book
Title: Tempests & Tea LeavesAuthor: Rachel Morgan
Published: 2025
The Story at a Glance: Bridgerton meets cozy fae fantasy with a dash of Pride & Prejudice in this sparkling, no-spice tale of magical debuts, an enchanted tea house, and banter-filled romance. Set in a whimsical world of paper magic, mischievous gossip birds, and a tea house with a mind of its own, this charming romantasy serves up a perfectly steeped blend of swooning romance and delightfully barbed banter.
My thoughts…
Rating:
This book was pure cozy magic. It made me want to quit my job and open a tea shop filled with herbs and spells.
I loved the banter between the FMC and MMC—sharp, charming, and full of that spark that makes you root for them from the start. And just when I thought the story was settling in, it took a sharp turn I absolutely didn’t see coming. For a while, I honestly couldn’t imagine how things would get back on track—but they did, and it made the resolution even more satisfying.
The FMC’s magic is so inventive, clever, original, and unlike anything I’ve read before. That magical twist added such a fresh feel to the world.
But what truly stayed with me was the heart of the story. Beneath the cozy fantasy and magical mishaps, this is a book about finding yourself—and having the courage to stay true to who you are, even when it means choosing a different path than everyone expects.
One quote that really hit me was:
“If you do not feel you belong anywhere, then you must make a place in which to belong.”
That line alone is enough to make me recommend this book.
If you love whimsical fantasy with warmth, wit, and real emotional depth, don’t miss this one. ✨
