The Story at a Glance:
Fall, 1997
Michelle is freshly divorced and grieving the loss of her mother. Packing in her high-powered advertising job in Seattle for a few months, she runs her parents’ beloved inn in Vermont just until her little sister can graduate and take it over.
Cliff is a single father to two rambunctious girls and runs the most popular bakery in town. As the inn flounders under Michelle’s lack of experience, he offers to lend a hand. But as they navigate a maze of family drama and the pressures of Michelle’s impending departure, they realize their friendship is warming to something that feels much closer to romance…
My thoughts…
★★★☆☆
This the kind of small-town romance that makes you want to curl up with a blanket and a cup of tea. I really liked the characters and absolutely loved the autumn vibes and cozy atmosphere of Copper Run. It wasn’t a mind-blowing story, but it was a genuinely enjoyable one. And I love that the stoty is taking place in 1997.
